Welcome to my article. You may need to set a static IP address in windows 10 for many reasons. It is connecting your security cameras all for gaming or many other reasons. And here we would discuss how to set a static IP address in windows 10.

How to set a Static IP Address in Windows 10

We would explain the most common and the easiest method. Simply right-click on the wireless internet icon in the taskbar. Select open network and internet settings. This will take you to the settings menu then click on change adapter options.

Now, this may be a little different for earlier builds of Windows 10, but the option still says change adapter options. Click on it right-click on the network.

In my case it’s wi-fi, it may be an ethernet in your case. And select properties in the wi-fi properties. Double click on internet protocol version 4. Select the radio button, use the following IP address.

Set the IP address subnet mask and default gateway. Let’s say that the IP address is 192.1 subnet mask accordingly and default gateway accordingly. Then click on ok to save the settings once it’s done you may restart the system.

And the static IP address would be configured on your Windows 10 computer. Isn’t it easy? If you have any doubts please write your query we will surely answer it.
